Yes. Pup must be at least 8 weeks old, and be contained in a flight approved travel crate. We charge for the flight crate, plus there is a Agents fee to pay, and the Air N.Z.
cost. Flight costs change from time to time, so will advise when flying puppies.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tSettling puppy into your home\n\t\t\t\t

When you arrive home give puppy time to rest and settle in a “Safe Place” (crate or puppy pen set up with a bed, comfort toy, water and paper (if paper training). Avoid over stimulation, too much excitement, or exhausting puppy. It’s only a Baby! Give a small feed, then rest.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tSettling into new routines\n\t\t\t\t

It will take a bit of time for puppy to settle into it’s new sourroundings and your routines. Start as you mean to continue. Be consistent with your rules. Be patient, growling at puppy will only make it anxious.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tWhat do I feed my new puppy?\n\t\t\t\t

Your puppy has been weaned onto EUKANUBA SMALL BREED PUPPY kibble or Purina Puppy Chow and Champ Puppy Can food. Feed the daily ration as 4-5 small feeds spread over the day and evening. Make sure puppy has access to fresh, clean water at all times.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tHow do I know if I am feeding the right amount?\n\t\t\t\t

Follow feeding amount suggestions on food label. By feeding 4-5 small meals, puppy will indicate to you if that’s enough or too much. Puppy will eat as much as they need and will throw up if they get greedy which will let you know it was too much. Contact us if you have any concerns.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCrying during the night\n\t\t\t\t

Up to now puppy has slept with its litter mates and may cry when left on its own. Provide a warm, comfortable bed in a safe place. Bed toys for puppy to snuggle up to can help. Do not to play with or fuss over puppy during the night. If you need to check puppy is OK, keep light low and avoid talking – see that everything is alright and leave.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tToilet training – methods\n\t\t\t\t

PAPER TRAINING: You provide paper \/ litter \/ “piddle pads”for puppy to toilet on when inside.
CRATE TRAINING: Puppy does not toilet inside. You will need to take puppy out to the toilet area every 3-4 hours day and night. Gradually increase the time between toileting.
The method you choose must fit your lifestyle. You must be consistent. Be patient it could take some time.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tPaper training\n\t\t\t\t

When its time to move toileting outside, take some soiled paper \/ litter out to the place you want puppy to go toilet. Take puppy out to the toilet area several times a day (puppy is more likely to go toilet first thing in the morning and after meals, go again just before bed-time). If puppy starts whining, sniffing in corners or circling, take it out to the toilet area. Give puppy PRAISE for going toilet in the toileting area, then dispose safely of the poo.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tWhat if my puppy toilets inside?\n\t\t\t\t

Do not growl or smack puppy for making a mistake. It happens! Clean up immediately to remove smell and prevent staining. Take puppy out to the toilet area. Do not expect it to go – its just been.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBathing and Grooming\n\t\t\t\t

Puppy will benefit greatly from regular brushing &
combing to keep the coat clean, shiny and healthy. The time spent grooming puppy is great for socialization and gives you time to do regular health checks. Regular routine bathing is not required. Bath puppy if dirty or smells doggy. Use a puppy shampoo following the instructions on the bottle. Use a damp cloth to wash the head and face.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tWhat grooming equipment do I need?\n\t\t\t\t

Depends on coat type and length: Metal comb, slicker brush, natural bristle brush, nail clippers (the right size for puppy), round tipped scissors for clipping hair around eyes and between foot pads, tooth brush & dog tooth paste.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAfter Purchase Vet Check\n\t\t\t\t

Your puppy has had a Pre-purchase vet check and 1st Vaccination. We highly recommend that you take puppy to your own vet, after you had puppy home a couple of days, just to check everything is as it should be. If you or your vet has any concerns email me straight away so we can sort any problems out.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tChewing\n\t\t\t\t

Your puppy will soon start to get its adult teeth and will chew on everything, including fingers. Give puppy chew toys, chew bones, dental sticks, to help with teething. Do not allow puppy to chew on you. Yelp and turn away, avoid engaging with puppy for 10 seconds.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tKeeping puppy safe\n\t\t\t\t

Supervise puppy around children, other dogs and cats until you are certain that your children will handle puppy without causing harm, and your other pets are comfortable around puppy. Watch out for puppy chewing electrical cords or getting into foods or household products that could make puppy sick.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAvoid Injury\n\t\t\t\t

Puppies bones are not yet fully developed \/ at full strength. Make sure your puppy does not jump down off furniture. Block off stairs. Lift puppy in and out of the car. Supervise children, have children sit on the floor to play with puppy.\u00a0<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tHow do I get my other dog to accept the new puppy?\n\t\t\t\t

An established dog will often accept the new arrival well, especially if the established dog feels secure and its routines aren’t changed greatly by the new arrival. Introduce puppy to other pets outside in neutral ground. Supervise interactions until you are sure everything is OK. Sometimes jealousy or “sibling rivalries” occur. Put puppy in a safe place and give your old friend some quality one-on-one time.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tVaccinations\n\t\t\t\t

Your puppy has had its 1st vacc. at 8 weeks old. It will need its 2nd vacc. at 12 weeks old, and its 3rd at 16 weeks old. Puppy is not fully protected until after its 3rd vaccination. Do not walk it out in public or visit with other dogs until after the 3rd vaccination.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tFlea Control\n\t\t\t\t

We have treated your puppy for fleas using FRONTLINE spray (Revolution). This should last 4 weeks. Talk to your vet about suitable flea control at puppy’s 2nd vaccination appointment.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tWorm Control\n\t\t\t\t

Your puppy has been treated for worms every 2 weeks using Cancare or Endoguard. You will need to continue to worm puppy every 2 weeks until puppy is 3 months old, then 3 monthly. Talk to your vet about suitable worm control.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tMicrochip and Registration\n\t\t\t\t

Councils require puppies to be microchipped before they are registered at 3 months old. You can arrange for your vet to place a microchip at puppy’s 2nd vaccination appointment.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDesexing\n\t\t\t\t

Dogs that have been desexed make better pets! For females spaying prevents unwanted puppies, bleeding during the heat (every 6 -8 months), and attracting male visitors to your property. For males castration reduces fighting, roaming, urine marking and humping. Depending on pups weight as to when desexing can be done usually from 6 months of age.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCode of Welfare\n\t\t\t\t

We encourage all dog owners to become familiar with the welfare code for dogs. It provides standards and guidelines for housing, feeding, exercise, socialization, health and wellbeing.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tPuppy Schools\n\t\t\t\t

We recommend that all first time dog owners attend a puppy pre-school at their local vet clinic. You get really helpful advice to help you and puppy get of to a good start. Also helps with socializing puppy to other puppies in a safe environment and helps puppy become familiar and comfortable with your vet clinic.<\/p>\n
